WHAT DOES PARADISE LOOK LIKE TO YOU?

Tini Weng: The Sweetness of Harmony! Only doing what I really want — music and dancing, somewhere in a warmer climate zone with a stunning view of the sea and mountains with my Family and Friends all day long.

RIGHT NOW, WHAT IS TO YOUR IMMEDIATE RIGHT AND LEFT?

TW: My dog and my work as an ambassador for ‘World Peace Berlin’ and our Label ‘Queerbump’

WHAT DOES A DAY IN THE LIFE OF TINI WENG LOOK LIKE?

TW: Are you talking about 24 hours? I’ll need 48 hours to cover my ‘day’

My day starts with a huge morning walk with my dog, working remotely for a digital start up in business development, making music and preparing for events, podcasts etc. for my Sets as much as I can.

After daily business I try to enjoy my time by calming down or getting out with my friends and dog. Each day looks different. Lots of my friends are artists as well and have many interesting events I try to join. What is also very necessary for me is just relaxing and leaving a heavy day behind with good food, a hot bath, and cuddling my dog until we fall asleep. f.ex

HAVE YOU ALWAYS DREAMED OF BEING A DJ?

TW: No, I am coming from classical ballet and music has always been part of my life since I was a little child.

During my time at Acting University, I attended singing classes as well and started doing vocals for some musicians until I decided I want to learn by myself.

One of my best and oldest friends Peter, who has a genius musical mind, tutored me early in our frienship pretty well and we’ve played together a couple of times over the years.

I caught Fire so hardcore deep, but I was too insecure to play by myself. But one day I just got back behind the Decks after a party by myself, and people enjoyed it so much. I got this Feeling, the most indescribable feeling I’ve ever had during my gigs. So lucky me, after that night I got lots of bookings and I am more than grateful for the chances I’ve got.

HOW HAS YOUR TIME AS A BALLET DANCER INFLUENCED YOUR MUSICALITY AS A DJ?

TW: I do not know if classic ballet influenced me being a Dj, but music was and will always be in my blood.

SPEAKING OF BALLET, ARE YOU MORE ODETTE OR ODILE?

TW: Depends on my mood, I would say.
